WORKSHOP

Join Wadawurrung artist and textile designer Dr. Deanne Gilson for a contemporary jewellery making workshop. Learn about Dr Gilson’s art practice, which is centred on her connection to Country.

In this hands-on workshop you will use the artist’s range of unique textile designs, that incorporate traditional and contemporary mark making, to create your own unique jewellery. Spaces for this workshop are limited!

    The Museum is fully accessible at street entry, there are ramps to every level.
    Accessible parking is located immediately in front of the Museum.
    Accessible toilets are located on each level.

  • Travelling by train

    V/Line operate trains daily from Melbourne Southern Cross to Geelong. The train station is an easy ten minute walk from the National Wool Museum.

    Travelling by car

    60 minutes from Melbourne CBD or a 30 minute drive from Torquay, Great Ocean Road.

    Travelling by ferry

    Port Phillip Ferries operates passenger ferry services from Docklands to Geelong and Docklands to the Bellarine (Portarlington). They also provide Port Phillip Ferries Discovery Tours.

    Searoad Ferries car and passenger ferry travels from the Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff. Buses run from Queenscliff to Geelong daily.

    Spirit of Tasmania travels daily from Davonport Tasmania docking at Geelong. A ten-minute drive to the National Wool Museum.

  • Bus parking

    Bus parking is available directly in front of the National Wool Museum on Moorabool Street.

    Car parking

    Metered parking is on Moorabool Street, Brougham Street and Eastern Beach Road.

    The Civic Centre Car Park located on Gheringhap Street opposite the Town Hall offers parking Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:30am to midnight (free parking after 6:00pm on Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday)
