Through the language of embroidery, fabric, and light, participants are invited to experience the quiet elegance of French haute couture craftsmanship. Guided by Décembre Haute Couture, the session unfolds the complete creative journey behind an anemone brooch from hand-dyeing delicate silk, shaping petals with heated tools, to layering fine beadwork that brings depth and movement.
Each gesture reflects patience and precision, echoing the timeless artistry once reserved for Parisian couture houses. The process reveals how color, rhythm, and texture intertwine to express emotion through the touch of the hand. Beyond technique, it is an intimate dialogue between maker and material a moment of stillness in which craftsmanship becomes a form of meditation.
At the end of the session, every participant will hold a one-of-a-kind anemone brooch an emblem of individuality, grace, and the quiet strength of handmade art.
Through this presentation, Décembre Haute Couture continues its vision of bringing traditional couture techniques into contemporary life, celebrating the beauty of patience, time, and human touch.

There are three small steps immediately outside the studio entrance. Aside from these steps, access from the main building entrance is step-free and there are no internal stairs.
If a participant has accessbility requirements , we are more than happy to assist them with access and do our best to accommodate their needs. We would also encourage participants contact us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.

Fashion designer Vivi Huang is the founder of Décembre Haute Couture, a Melbourne-based atelier dedicated to the refined crafts of French embroidery and artisanal flower-making. Trained in haute couture techniques in Paris, she has developed a distinctive creative language that bridges craftsmanship, art, and contemporary design.
For Vivi, embroidery is more than decoration it is a dialogue between patience, time, and emotion. Every stitch and sculpted petal embodies the warmth of the human touch, reflecting her belief that true beauty lies in the process as much as the result. Her creations range from couture inspired accessories and decorative art pieces to collaborative installations that reinterpret traditional techniques for the modern world.
At Décembre Studio, Vivi leads her team from concept to completion, embracing independent creation while welcoming cross-disciplinary collaborations. Her work often draws inspiration from nature, light, and fleeting moments, transforming delicate materials such as silk, metal thread, and beads into poetic, tactile expressions.
