Australian designer Rochelle Gregory, the visionary behind luxury fashion label Rocky Rafaela, will host an exclusive event honouring resilience, reinvention, and the transformative power of turning trauma into strength.
A powerful mini film transitions into a runway show — an extremely creative, true Rocky Rafaela way to tell a story. Designed for anyone who has struggled with mental health, identity, sexuality, self-worth, or the fear of chasing their dreams, the experience takes guests on an emotional journey from darkness to empowerment, ending with the debut of the new collection and jaw-dropping, upbeat entertainment that ignites the room.
Guests arrive into a dark, cinematic atmosphere that feels like the opening scene of a film — a world built on resilience, sensuality, strength, and reinvention. The room drops to black and the premiere of The Rise of Rocky begins. The film shares the raw, unfiltered story behind the brand: a young woman navigating mental health battles, hospital rooms, trauma, addiction, identity confusion, and moments where life felt impossible.
The visuals shift from darkness into light, capturing the transformation of pain into purpose and the journey from brokenness to building a dream fashion empire worn by some of the biggest cultural icons in the world. As the final frame fades out, the space erupts with electricity. Live mini runways begin, with models moving through the room like characters stepping out of the film — each look representing a chapter of resilience. Surprise entertainment, musicians, spoken-word performers, dancers, and cinematic lighting transform the space into a visceral celebration of power and possibility.
