Indonesian Modest Fashion Week Melbourne 2024 (IMFWM) is an event about embracing and celebrating culture diversity in Victoria. This is a chance to experience more deeply into Indonesian cultures through Fashion, Foods, and art performances. The IMFWM culture festival (Fashion, Foods, and Art Show) is on 2-3 March 2024 from 11:00am – 7:00pm. You will have the opportunity to feast on traditional cuisine and street eats as well as dabble with Indonesian artisanal craft as either witness or partake in batik-making workshops, witness the beautiful intricacies of ikat weaving and watch a film on the making of various Indonesian traditional textiles. Also, at the same time, enjoying the cultural dance and singing performances.
Most importantly, with this event we seek to bridge the gap in cultural exchanges as Melbournians experience their sense of sight as they feast their eyes on modest fashion, authentically Southeast Asian fabrics, and artisanal craft right before their eyes to initiate them into the world of Southeast Asian fashions.

ABOUT THE ORGANISERS
This event is organised by Perwira Inc, Indonesian Society of Victoria, a non-profit organisation which established since 1985. Since last year, under the new core team, led by Diana Lestari as President, Perwira inc has successfully initiated and delivered new programs such as Indonesian Modest Fashion Week in March 2023 (IMFWM).
