Dr Jess Berry, Associate Professor of Design History and Theory at Monash University, discusses the decorative interiors of the Titanic, alongside early 20th century Edwardian fashion and the styles that graced its decks in 1912.  This evocative talk sets the tone for the Museum's Victoria blockbuster, Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition.  

On arrival, please make your way to the lower ground floor, adjacent to the Titanic exhibition entrance. Limited seating, please arrive early to reserve your spot.

ABOUT THE ORGANISERS

Dr Jess Berry is Associate Professor, Design History and Theory at Monash University. Her research primarily centres around the visual culture of fashion and dress and its interdisciplinary intersections with interior design, architecture, art, new media and film. Berry will present a talk on the fashions on the Titanic, with consideration of the visual design and interiors of the ship itself.
