Kirri-Mae is a textile and fashion industry professional, driven by the potential for innovation, education and collaboration to shift industry practices toward more socially and environmentally sustainable outcomes. She has worked broadly in retail, textile waste management, industry research and education including coursework development and lecturing at both Bachelor and Postgraduate levels across Melbourne.

Currently, Kirri-Mae consults with major brands on product renewal and other circular intervention opportunities. In 2021 with two partners, she also established Hatch and Make, a design, development and manufacturing partner for premium knitwear based on Wurundjeri land, in the Yarra Valley. Hatch and Make is operating within a circular economy framework providing sustainability expertise and premium product to Australian brands and labels.

Having worked in the industry for over 10 years, Kirri-Mae is excited by the growing mainstream focus on circularity and eager to see that momentum result in action.
