LCI Melbourne’s Graduate Runway returns as part of the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s Independent Programme, presenting the next wave of Australian fashion talent. This vibrant showcase features the final-year collections of graduating Fashion & Costume Design students, each bringing forward a unique design voice shaped by months of research, studio development and hands-on experimentation.
Known for its innovative and industry-ready graduates, LCI Melbourne has celebrated a standout year of student achievement, including sweeping the Vogue Presented Emerging Designer Award (first, second and third place) at Fashions on the Field, and featuring on major Australian runways throughout the year. The Graduate Runway continues this momentum, offering audiences an inspiring look at new fashion perspectives and design excellence from Australia’s next generation of creative leaders.
Expect collections that explore identity, culture, sustainability, performance, material technology and contemporary aesthetics. From conceptual silhouettes to wearable art, each student presents a refined expression of their creative practice, honed within LCI Melbourne’s Collingwood campus — a boutique, industry-connected institute in the heart of Melbourne’s creative precinct. Earlier in the day, the event also includes a High School Preview Runway, introducing prospective students to fashion pathways, studio practice and the emerging talent shaping the sector.
Together, both runways showcase the full arc of fashion education at LCI Melbourne — from future potential to professional polish — all within the nation’s largest fashion festival.
