International designer Prabal Gurung announced as keynote speaker!

Join us for Australia’s preeminent gathering of influential fashion thought leaders as we deliver change-making conversations with visionary industry voices including discussions with Prabal Gurung and Avanade’s Executive, AI Business Solutions – APAC, Lucia Gamarra.

Prabal Gurung is one of fashion’s most iconic global names and is currently the Vice Chair of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). A genuine storyteller, he will address the value that experiencing different places, people and cultures has provided to the evolution of his career and creative practice.

Avanade - the leading expert on Microsoft, advancing the world through the power of people and technology - will dive into the world of AI and explore the influence it’s having in the fashion industry right now.

Hosted by creative business leader, Alexandra Smart, this event is designed to share with colleagues, clients or industry friends.

  Tram: Exit tram at Russell Street Stop 6. Proceed by foot along Russell Street extension towards Yarra River. Take stairs on right down to River Terrace level or use Fed Square car park lift and follow directions above.

  Train: Exit Flinders Street Station at Swnaston Street. Corss the road and walk along River Terrace (Yarra River level), passing Fed Square until you reach Zinc on your left

  Visiting from Regional Victoria? Why not take a V/Line train

• PARKING

  Federation Square car park can be accessed via Russell Street. Proceed to the lifts into the car park and take them up to level 1, exit the car park and head up the ramp to the Zinc entrance

• ACCESSIBILITY

  Federation Square car park has accessible parking on each level, located near the lifts.

  Companion card holders can access the car park at Fed Square, and the card provides a free ticket for a carer for events held at Federation Square.

PRABAL GURUNG
Award-Winning Fashion Designer & Creative Director,
Prabal Gurung

Prabal Gurung is one of fashion’s most iconic global names and is currently the Vice Chair of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). He launched his eponymous label in 2009 at New York Fashion Week and over his 17-year career has earned countless accolades for his modern luxury, indelible style and astute sense of glamour, and dressed some of the world’s most influential women including Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, The Duchess of Cambridge, Beyonce, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway. Born in Singapore and raised in Kathmandu, Prabal began his design career in New Delhi, before moving to New York to complete his design studies at Parsons The New School of Design. Prior to this, Gurung spent time in Melbourne and fell in love with the city’s creative energy and people.

A trusted advisor to organisations navigating the AI era, she helps shape technology roadmaps, drive process innovation, and deliver AI‑led programs that create measurable business impact. Since 1998, Lucia has held senior leadership roles across the region, guiding large‑scale digital transformations and building high‑performing teams. She is actively involved in Women in Leadership mentoring, corporate citizenship, and community initiatives that champion diversity and inclusion.
