The Pattern Making Class delivers highly skilled industry-led pattern making classes to the public and fashion industry. Founded in 2019 by Melbourne’s leading freelance pattern making studio, RBPatterns. The Pattern Making Class delivers highly skilled industry-led pattern making classes to the public and fashion industry.

Check your FIT is an open workshop for all to refine & improve any fit issues with skilled industry professionals. Receive practical feedback on your self-made, industry standard or commercially bought clothing patterns.

Experience a broad depth of knowledge in adjusting patterns and fitting garments correctly. A good fitting garment is a garment we keep, covet and feel great in.
Taking place in a working fashion pattern making studio, supervised by industry professionals.
Bring you patterns, toiles, half made or completed garment and work collaboratively with skilled artisans to achieve better fits and make ideas. All skill levels welcome.

We supply large cutting tables, pattern paper and rulers, you bring your pencils, scissors and any other pattern-making equipment you like. One garment or fit issue per attendee.

ABOUT THE EVENT ORGANISER
Glen Rollason has 30 years of experience in design and fashion education. He co-founded RBPatterns with Scott Bowring, Australia's top technical design studio, working with over 55 brands. Winner of MFF New Designer of the Year in 1999, he sold his collections worldwide. His Pattern Making Class was developed to meet the growing need for advanced skills in the fashion industry.
