Asher and Archer and Silent Dove proudly present Something Blue, a collaborationl celebrating the artistry of heirlooms and their timeless symbolism. This event at the Good Shepherd Chapel Gallery at Abbotsford Convent invites guests to experience a unique blend of bespoke fashion and couture jewellery inspired by the beauty of heritage and family tradition.
Inspired by heirlooms, the emotional connection and nostalgia we associate with precious objects, this event showcases 2 designer’s interpretations of these themes.
The event includes an intimate runway show, where Asher and Archer’s refined, custom-made designs take centre stage alongside Silent Dove’s heirloom-inspired jewellery—crafted from premium materials like lapis lazuli and freshwater pearls. The theme, Something Blue, pays homage to the symbolic traditions of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” evoking a sense of romance and history woven into each piece.
Following the runway, an exhibition invites attendees to explore pieces up close, offering a window into the craftsmanship and sustainability behind each creation. Silent Dove and Asher and Archer share a commitment to sustainable luxury, creating pieces that honour traditional techniques and set a new standard for timeless, responsible fashion.
Something Blue is a tribute to the artistry, heritage, and symbolism that imbue couture fashion and jewellery with lasting significance, offering a thoughtful nod to heirlooms, weddings, and the stories that make each piece unique.

Anneliese Bridgman, founder of Asher and Archer, and Sarah Anderson, designer at Silent Dove, blend their distinct visions to create Something Blue at Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Anneliese, known for her sustainable, ethical approach to fashion, draws on years of experience and a foundation in traditional couture learned in Paris from icons like Chanel and Dior. Her Melbourne-based brand celebrates individuality, craftsmanship, and inclusivity, offering made-to-order pieces with thoughtful, bespoke details that empower wearers to make sustainable choices.
Silent Dove, led by Sarah Anderson, is a fine jewellery brand inspired by resilience, heritage, and the timeless beauty of natural materials. Known for unique, luxurious designs that speak to both contemporary and classical influences, Silent Dove embodies artistry in wearable form. With a focus on quality and heritage, the brand creates pieces meant to be cherished and passed down, crafting each item to the highest standards of elegance.
