Deconstructing Dopamine Dressing
SUNDAY 5 MARCH
12:30 PM - 1:15 PM
PANEL TALK
Live Stage Emporium
Wear your best feel-good outfit and join moderator Lauren Di Bartolo, Stylist and Founder of Australian Style Institute, for a conversation with ‘Dopamine Dresssing’ devotees, Dr Fran Arcuri and Carly Findlay OAM. During this talk, the panel will deconstruct the fashion industry buzz term, including the psychological benefits that can come with using this styling technique, as well as the broader link between fashion and human psychology as a whole.
Our panelists are well versed in ‘wearing the rainbow’, as Carly puts it. An appearance activist among many other roles, Carly Findlay identifies as a proud disabled woman and received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2020 for her work as a disability advocate. Dr Fran Arcuri is a Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist, helping women, men and their families during the perinatal stage of life. Out of hours, she is a fashion blogger via her Instagram account @Dreams.of.colour where she mixes prints and colours to infuse joy into her sense of style. She is an advocate for wearing what makes you happy regardless of age, body shape or size. Moderator Lauren Di Bartolo has over 15 years editorial and personal styling experience under her belt, and founded one of Australia’sleading fashion styling schools in 2010, Australian Style Institute. Having developed a styling methodology focused on human behaviour, Lauren is fiercely passionate about how fashion is more than just the clothes we wear.
So join these inspiring women for an uplifting conversation about dressing for joy without barriers, and come out of it knowing how to incorporate it into your everyday style.
