One of Australia’s most celebrated designers, Akira Isogawa has achieved worldwide recognition for his exquisite contemporary designs. Born in Kyoto, Japan, Akira moved to Sydney in 1986 and has since become an icon of the Australian fashion industry. Since 1998, Akira has shown collections in Paris and presents Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collections to international buyers each year. His work has also been embraced by the Australian arts sector, with Akira having designed costumes for the Sydney Dance Company and Australian Ballet, just to name a few.
